Donna Richards, Trust and Corporate Administrator at Abacus Trust Company Limited, has been presented the Carter Jones McDonald Award 2014 for her results in the recent Corporate Secretarial Practice exam of the Chartered Secretaries Qualifying Scheme.
The Isle of Man branch of the Institute for Chartered Secretaries and Administrators has been presenting awards to students for various modules of the qualification for a number of years. The award which was first introduced in 2013 and is sponsored by local law firm, Carter Jones McDonald, recognises individuals who achieve the highest exam results on the Island for the Corporate Secretarial Practice module, for which Mr McDonald is also a tutor.
Terence McDonald, Partner at Carter Jones McDonald, presented Donna with her award at Abacus’ head office. Upon receiving her award, Donna Richards said: “I am over the moon to have been given this award but more importantly to have obtained the results that I did. It’s reassuring to know that the long hours and hard work I put in really did pay off.”
Emer Dowling, Director at Abacus Trust Company Limited, said: “On behalf of Abacus, I would like to congratulate Donna on her award which is clearly reflective of the hard work and commitment she has applied during her recent studies. I have no doubt that Donna will continue this success in her remaining exams and look forward to congratulating her on completion of the ICSA qualification in the very near future.”
