Boost for engineering and construction training

Education chiefs say a new engineering training centre at Isle of Man College will offer much wider choice for Island youngsters - and benefit the Manx economy.

Engineering has been moved to a new base, in the converted former water treatment works in nearby Greenfield Road.

The William Kennish Engineering Centre which cost ?4.9 million will be officially opened next month

Freed-up space at the College will be used to expand training facilities in construction crafts - joinery, plumbing, brickwork and painting and decorating.
