Equiom establishes school leaver apprenticeships

by isleofman.com 27th October 2014

Leading international trust and corporate services provider, Equiom, is proud to announce the appointment of five school leavers.

Emily Murphy, David Lovelady, Grace O’Neill, James Everitt and Thomas Jordan joined Equiom at the end of September.

This is the largest recruitment drive the business has seen at this level and it occurs at a time of substantial growth for the Group which has offices in the Isle of Man, Jersey and Malta.

Fiona Noon, Senior Manager of Client Services commented: “We recognise that higher education is not for all and some young people would prefer to be in the workplace gaining valuable experience at the same time as studying for professional qualifications.    We see the new recruits adding value to Equiom’s business as they grow their experience and knowledge and progress within the company.

“As a large multi jurisdictional organisation, Equiom offers excellent career paths and this is a brilliant opportunity for young people to commence their career in financial services administration.”

The school leavers will work within Equiom’s Client Services team with a focus on trust and company administration, with the exception of Thomas who has joined the Yachting and Aviation team, and they will be supported and receive practical training from the leaders within their departments. During their career at Equiom they will have the chance to study ICSA, STEP or any other relevant qualifications.
