The IOM Bank Junior Fell Championship takes place on Saturday as part of the opening round of the Winter Hill Running League.
The event starts at 1.30pm at Cringle Plantation with registration opening an hour earlier.
The short course is a mix of fire tracks and paths with two short climbs - the winning time is expected to be around 16 minutes.
A large entry is expected so organisers are appealing to competitors to car share where possible as there is limited space for parking.
