Week three and the league is starting to take shape.
Plough B 4 - 5 Central
The Central are starting to gain some pace now and with this win against a very good Plough B side who knows what they will acheive come May. Wooka, Lon and Robbie Crennell got them off to a flier. Jamie Kelly stopped the rot for the B teamers against fellow Andreas lad Paul Allison. Mac beat Mick Antrobus meaning the Plough needed all three pairs to take the spoils but fell just short as Lon and Malla won the final leg of the final game to snatch the points. Mac knocked in a fine 108f in trying to win that deciding game.
Bar Logo AAA 8 - 1 RAOB
The triple A boys enjoyed a good night against the buff lads with Jay the only one failing to win. Young Brandan Quayle won his first singles leg in a good game against Jimmy Mac but the Logo boys were just too strong Higgy gaining 5 ton plus scores and a strange win in the pairs when his partner Dodders walked out.
Bar Logo 4 - 5 Traff
This looks like it was a cracker. Again straight out of the blocks were the Traff outfit going 3-0 up with wins for Charlie, Busbie and Jay. Jamie and Fags then won to peg the match back. This meant they also had to bag all three pairs match ups but fell short by one.
Score wise Jamie Skillan was back to his best with a great haul of 8 x 100 and a 140. For the Traff Charlie Cormode continues to roll back the years with a fine 5 ton night and a 180 from John Piekalns.
Mitre 3 - 6 Plough A
This was another cracker and when you have the fortune of pulling Paul Palmer and Gazza Uren out first two games on it's gonna be a good night. They were backed up by Ollie and Geoff to make it another case of the Mitre needing all three pairs games. The match was won in the first of these pairs games as James Arneil and Stevie Waters secured their 100% record and are top of the table.
Notable scores Palmer with 5 x 100, 2 x 140 , Geoff hit his custom 6 tons and a maximum crom James. For the Mitre outfit their star man so far this year Glenn Charnock hit 6 tons including 2 x 140.
