Isle of Man-based hosting provider Manx Telecom will be focusing on its big data analytics and DDoS protection solutions at EiG 2014 – and the latest news about the opening of its second Tier 3 data centre. The company, which is the hosting provider for the world's largest poker sites PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker, and Europe's largest bookmaker PaddyPower, will be on the Isle of Man Government stand (number 737) at the expo held in the Arena Berlin from October 21 to 23.
The purpose-built Greenhill Data Centre opened for business earlier this year, and completion of the first phase of the ?10million project makes Manx Telecom the only Isle of Man provider to own and operate two Tier 3 facilities. Providing additional hosting capacity for the big data analytics market is one of the major factors behind the company’s investment in Greenhill. Manx Telecom Intelligent Analytics – powered by Idiro – complements the company’s hosting and eGaming proposition and can be applied in a number of sectors including eGaming, financial services, hospitality, retail, and utilities.
The recently launched DDoS Protection solution is also expected to generate significant interest at EiG. DDoS Protection – powered by Radware – is the result of a six-figure investment to deliver a world class and cost-effective cyber security solution, and complements Manx Telecom’s position as the leading bandwidth and hosting provider on the Island with the largest resource of security trained technicians. Manx Telecom believes it is currently the only Isle of Man provider which can offer this level of cyber security protection to its corporate connectivity and hosting customers, as a fully managed service.
Manx Telecom has played a key role in the rapid growth of the Isle of Man’s eGaming sector and has invested ?110million in the Island’s telecoms infrastructure over the last decade. With the proven capability to securely handle ?billions worth of transactions for eGaming clients, Manx Telecom also sees potential growth in the digital currencies sector which will be another focus at EiG.
Sales Director Fergal McKenna, and Account Managers Dan Walker and John Corrigan will represent Manx Telecom at EiG. The company’s eGaming solutions range from entry level packages and customer co-located platforms to multi-site load balanced solutions and fully outsourced managed services with disaster recovery and global connectivity. In addition, it has the largest pool of IT and telecoms experts on the Island, accredited to the highest standards. This includes 70 engineers trained in IP technology, of which 30 are specialist data centre and core network engineers dedicated to delivering enterprise hosting solutions for global eGaming clients.
