Grant Thornton opens office in Ramsey

by isleofman.com 14th October 2014

Grant Thornton will enhance its service to clients in the north of the Island with an office presence in Parliament Street in Ramsey.

The company, headquartered in Athol Street, Douglas, is one of the Island’s largest accountancy firms, with a team of more than 30 delivering a wide range of professional services to corporate, public sector and individual clients.

Dennis McGurgan, Managing Director of Grant Thornton in the Isle of Man, explained: ‘We have a growing client base across the Island which is reflected in the expansion of our team this year, and the decision to secure additional office space in Ramsey.

‘Being able to hold appointments in the town will improve service delivery, making it more convenient for our northern clients to meet members of our team to discuss their requirements. It will also make our services more immediately available to new clients in the north of the Island.’

In March, Grant Thornton merged with BDO (Isle of Man) leading to a significant increase in staff numbers and client base. Since then it has made a series of key appointments as the team grows to meet increasing demand for its services.

Mr McGurgan added: ‘For individuals, public bodies and businesses of all sizes, it can be confusing and time-consuming attempting to navigate the sometimes complex world of audit, accounts and tax. I am proud of the highly professional and well-regarded service we provide, and look forward to supporting existing and new clients from our office at 9 Auckland Terrace in Ramsey.’
