Champs and cup holders in six goal thriller

by isleofman.com 6th October 2014
The league champions and FA Cup holders couldn’t be separated in a six goal thriller on Sunday.
But champions Douglas Royal will be frustrated after a 3-1 half-time lead was squandered.
In fairness to Royal, they played most of the match with only 10 players.
After Katie Halsall (two) and Donna Shimmin had put them in the ascendancy, Gymns hit back through Sammie Macdonald, Alannah Hall and Eleanor Gawne to rescue a point.
That was a good result for Corinthians who took advantage to remain top after a 4-0 success over Old Boys.
Leading 1-0 at the break, Leonie Roberts (two), Jade Burden and Anna Dillon scored for the Whites.
Peel registered their second victory of the season with a 3-0 home success over Colby.
All three goals were scored in the first half with Becky Corkish, Maxine Smalley and Vanessa Christian on target for the westerners.
