Douglas B lost 33-13 at the Mooragh Park and put a severe dent in their hopes of winning the Shimmin Wilson Manx Shield title this season.
The game was finely balanced at half-time with Douglas 8-7 ahead after Charlie Henthorne’s try and Simon Heggs’ penalty cancelled out a Tynan Pritchard try and a Garry Vernon conversion at the other end.
However, in the second half Ramsey forged ahead with Pritchard’s second of the afternoon and a try from John F. Watling.
Douglas reduced the deficit to just six points when Tom Anderson crashed over.
A late Ramsey rally though was too much for the tired Douglas legs and tries from Jake Severs and John Ali, both converted by the excellent Ben Harding, closed the game out.
In the other Manx Shield match, Southern Nomads beat Castletown 108-17 at Poulsom Park.
James Jones and Mark Brew both crossed for Town tries which were both converted by Will Welsh.
