by isleofman.com 26th September 2014

Coverage of the 2014 Rally Isle of Man powered by Microgaming hits television screens tonight (Friday)…and there’s not one show, nor two, but three separate programme’s available in one single bumper night!

Underlining the importance of the event within British isles rallying, all the action from two weeks ago was captured by two program producers, and shows are tailored according to the Championship’s the event played host to. It will feature on Motors TV (channel 447 on Sky).

The first shows will feature the dramatic climax to the MSA British Rally Championship as Daniel McKenna and Osian Pryce battled for the title, filmed by local island based Greenlight TV.

As the event was split into two points scoring opportunities for crews, so the story will be told in back-to-back shows, at 8.30pm and 9pm.

Later on the same night, at 11.05pm, it’s the turn of the Mintex MSA British Historic Championship, with an hour long program filmed by Special Stage TV.

Amongst those to feature will be David Stokes, who was bidding to tie up another Championship title, impressive event newcomer Meirion Evans, and British rallying legend Jimmy McRae.

And with the event held amidst the best weather for many years, this wonderful island of motorsport will present a stunning backdrop to the action.

Both shows will be repeated across the weekend, and because that’s still not enough, the following Friday, 3rd October there will be yet more coverage!

A separate hour-long program will focus on the Eurocars Motorsport Manx Rally Championship element of the three day event, as Arron Newby/Rob Fagg attempt to retain their title, taking on drivers such as Steve Colley and Nigel Cannell. This show will also cover the rally away from the BRC and British Historic angle.

So that’s the entertainment sorted for the next couple of Friday nights!
