Island thrashed by Germany at UEFA Regions Cup

by isleofman.com 25th September 2014
The Isle of Man have been thrashed by Germany at the UEFA Regions Cup in Slovakia.
The Men were 2-0 down at half time, and kept it that way until the 59th minute, but then the floodgates opened.
Germany scored five times in the last half hour, the match finishing 7-0.
There were some chances for the Isle of Man, Lee Gale hit the post in the second half and they managed five shots on target in total.
But it could also have been a lot worse - Jonny Myers, Julian Ringham and Andy Crennell all cleared German efforts off the line.
The Island's final group match is against Slovakia on Saturday.
