The Junior Chamber of Commerce (“JCC”) is pleased to announce the success of the latest event, "Getting to the heart of the consumer," presented by Matthew Dealtry. This discussion focused on how successful businesses have one thing in common – they are changing the way they think about and communicate with their consumers. This event was well received by members and generated some interesting discussions.
The event also included the JCC’s annual general meeting (“AGM”) where this year’s JCC President, Chair and Vice-Chair were announced. Owen Cutajar of FutureTech was named President, Kate Parrish of Moore Stephens was named Chair and Rachael Hooper of SMP Accounting and Tax was named Vice-Chair.
Owen joined the JCC in 2010 with the aim of building and managing the JCC’s online presence. He has always had a passion for all things technical, but combines that with a solid background in management disciplines. He spends his day working with organisations helping them use technology to drive business change and improve profitability.
Kate joined the JCC in 2013 and became Vice-Chair earlier this year. She joined the Moore Stephens marketing department after graduating from Leeds Metropolitan University having studied Public Relations. Kate leads a team of four marketing professionals in support of the firm and is currently studying towards the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Professional Diploma in Marketing.
Rachael joined the JCC committee in 2014, having regularly attended events for over 4 years. After qualifying as a Chartered Accountant with a Big Four accountancy firm, Rachael is now a Tax Manager with SMP Accounting & Tax and has recently qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA). Rachael works in all areas of UK, Isle of Man and International taxation, with a particular focus on UK resident non-UK domiciled individuals, Trusts and Inheritance Tax.
“I’d like to wish Owen, Kate and Rachael the best of luck in their new roles on the JCC committee,” said Chris Darnill, President of the JCC 2013-14.
The JCC would like to thank Moore Stephens for supporting the event.
