Isle of Man based multi-family office, Boston Group, is celebrating multiple successes following the conferral of no fewer than four Diplomas in Company Direction from the Institute of Directors.
Phil Knop, Director of Tax and Compliance, Katherine Ellis, Director of Business Development, Ruth Robinson, Director of the Family Office and Chris Borg, Managing Director of Boston Malta were recently sponsored by Boston to undertake the prestigious programme in a development which reinforces the group’s reputation as an investor in its employees and client service offering. All directors passed both requisite papers over just six months while simultaneously driving Boston Group to achieve record growth over the same period.
Commenting on their successes, Chief Executive Greg Ellison said: “Phil, Katherine, Ruth and Chris have done extremely well in successfully completing their IOD qualifications this year. What’s more, they continue to transfer their ongoing development into the workplace resulting in superb growth for our business and an outstanding service for our clients. Boston prides itself on remaining a leader in its field when delivering our core services whilst furnishing our staff with the foresight to engage with new and exciting markets on behalf of our clients, as our recent key sponsorship of the forthcoming Crypto Valley Summit attests. Our directors have set a great example for our more junior staff in the business and I’m very proud of everything they contribute to Boston and our clients.”
The IOD’s Company Direction programme is the most well respected in the discipline and encompasses the core knowledge and awareness necessary to function effectively as a director, including the development of an in-depth view of the role and its responsibilities, the characteristics of an effective board, sound knowledge of financial terms and concepts and the issues and processes associated with formulating and leading strategic and business plans.
