Disappointment for Douglas at home

by isleofman.com 13th September 2014
Douglas went down 19-10 at home to West Park (St Helens) in a bruising game at Port-e-Chee in South Lancashire/Cheshire Division One.
The Manx side led 5-0 at half-time, courtesy of a Carl Markl-Ferns try at the end of the first half and then doubled their lead through Bryn Snellgrove early in the second.
West Park, however, fought back and a try and conversion from full back Matty Savage put them right back into the game.
Lee Rosney then crossed for the visitors’ second, again converted by Savage, to take the lead before Matty Cozens barged over for the decisive score which took the game beyond Douglas.
