New building regs come into force soon

New building regulations will come into force next month after the Department of Infrastructure updated its rules.
The changes mostly deal with safety and energy efficient and were the subject of consultation last year.
Departmental member Chris Thomas says the regulations will come into force on October 1.
But do householders need to take notice of them?Clip 1
