Swift continues good form at Tour of Britain

by isleofman.com 10th September 2014
The highest-placed local finisher on today's Tour of Britain stage was Onchan resident Ben Swift.
His seventh place was also enough for him to hang onto the points jersey.
Mark Cavendish came 35th, in the same large bunch of riders who were given the same time as stage winner Michael Kwiatkowski, Cav's Omega Pharma - Quick-Step team mate.
Kwiatkowski now tops the General Classification.
Mark Christian had been involved in a break earlier in the stage, but ended up finishing three and a half minutes behind the leaders.
Swift is now 32nd overall, Christian has dropped down to 42nd, and Cavendish is 74th.
