Cavendish fifth after day two

by isleofman.com 9th September 2014
Mark Cavendish is fifth overall going into today’s (Tuesday) third stage of the Tour of Britain.
After taking third place in Sunday’s opening stage, the ‘Manx Missile’ was not involved in the sprint in yesterday’s second stage to Llandudno.
Instead, it was his usual lead-out man, Omega Pharma-Quick-Step team-mate Mark Renshaw who won to claim the overall race lead.
The Australian rider hit the front in the final 100m of the 200km race to pip Britain's Ben Swift with Ireland's Sam Bennett in third.
