Teacher has championships in her sights

A secondary school teacher is to represent Great Britain at the World Archery European Championships next week.


Lesley Sleight is heading to Estonia after being selected by Archery GB.Lesley is a P.E teacher at QE II High School and one of six archers chosen to represent Great Britain.


She said: 'I feel very proud to be representing my country and being able to wear a GB shirt. It has taken many years but finally it is a dream come true. I run an archery club at school and teach archery in games lessons. I hope that being selected for the Great Britain Team will inspire my students and hopefully raise their sporting ambitions.'
