Drama as President's Cup goes down to last ball

by isleofman.com 8th September 2014

There was high drama in the T20 final for the President’s Cup on Sunday.
This was the closing game of the season and, from the very last ball, Alex Stokoe hit a four to win the match for Cronkbourne.

Peel and St John’s had been dismissed for 109, despite a fine 39 from opener Dan Hawke.
In reply Cronkbourne made a steady start but wickets began to fall and with two overs left Cronkbourne needed 13 runs to take the cup.

Eight were wanted from the closing over and at the final delivery only three wickets remained.
Then Stokoe hit a boundary to give his side a dramatic victory.
