Rally Isle of Man appeal for marshals and timekeepers

by isleofman.com 8th September 2014

Rally Isle of Man, powered by Microgaming, is looking for people to help run next weeks three day event.

The rally takes place from Thursday 11th to Saturday 13th September, covering a mix of classic and new stages across the island.

As a result marshals and timekeepers are needed to ensure the event is a success. Marshals are a vital ingredient in any volunteer-led event and anyone who has an interest in motorsport or just wants to be involved would be warmly welcomed. There is no need for any previous experience, newcomers will be placed with experienced personnel.

Adam Warburton, Chief Marshal for Rally Isle of Man said: “We value any time you can lend us whether it be a morning, an afternoon or evening. The islands people provide amazing support for us every year, and it really is appreciated. This is one of the biggest rallies in the British isles and we want the competitors to be able to take on the challenge and contest all 24 stages, but that is reliant on having the manpower to run them.”

Anyone interested is asked to get in touch with Rally Isle of Man on 852440 or by calling into the Rally HQ at the TT Grandstand daily.
