Inflation down again

The annual rate of inflation on the Island dropped again last month
As measured by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) it fell to 1.3% in August, down from 1.9% in July.
The Retail Prices Index (RPI) also decreased and stands at 2.6% for August having fallen from 3.0% the previous month.
Over the last twelve months the CPI shows rises in the costs of meat like lamb, up 9.4%, and bacon, up 4.5%, but vegetables were down 11.6% with the staple potato price down almost 17%.
Household equipment has seen a massive jump of 21.5% since August last year.
