Peel harbour needs full clear out

The Isle of Man is losing money because of the state of Peel harbour.
The claim is made by one of the directors of the Peel Sailing and Cruising Club, Martin Birchenough.
He says because the harbour has not been dredged properly, there are silt banks building up round the marina, causing problems for larger visiting boats.
The Department of Infrastructure has apparently made attempts to dredge the area, but because the Department of Environment has concerns about the impact on the fishing industry, it hasn't been able to go ahead fully.
The departments continue to discuss how best to approach the issue.
Mr Birchenough says the lack of action is having financial consequences, as a number of people believe Peel is "closed for business":
