with a 29-5 bonus point win away at Sefton.
Sean Moffatt and Bryn Snellgrove picked up a try apiece and wing Liam King bagged a brace.
The ever accurate Snellgrove also kicked three conversions and a penalty as Douglas got off to the best possible start.
In Division Two, Vagabonds went down 24-19 away at Oswestry but finished within five points to grab a losing bonus point.
Ross, McCulloch, Sam Liver and Steve Gawne all crossed for Vagabonds’ tries, with new signing Josh Carine kicking two conversions.
Ramsey made an emphatic start to life in Division Three, defeating Capenhurst 77-5 at the Mooragh Park.
Left wing Peter Richardson ran in five tries, Dan Bonwick grabbed a hat-trick, Ali Trace bagged a brace and there were single scores from Mark Oldfield, Fintan Cummins and John F. Watling.
