Former Manx2 plane involved in similar crash landing

by isleofman.com 6th September 2014
It has been revealed that a plane which crash landed at Ronaldsway airport in 2012 has recently been involved in a similar incident.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch has just released a preliminary report into what happened at Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood airport last month.
The left landing gear of the LinksAir-operated plane collapsed after it touched down, causing it to slide along the runway, before coming to rest on the grass when the landing gear detached from its mounts.
The one passenger and two crew were not injured.
The Air Accidents Investigation Branch's report says the plane, a BAE Systems Jetstream 31, crash landed at Ronaldsway in March 2012.
That time, it was the right landing gear which collapsed.
At the time it was flying in the colours of Manx2.com.
The AAIB says the preliminary findings of its latest report were significant because the same aircraft, operating under a different registration, was involved in this previous, similar accident.Clip 1
