Strong Manx showing but no Cav

by isleofman.com 4th September 2014
Mark Cavendish has been left out of the Great Britain cycling squad for the Road World Championships.
The 2011 world champion hasn't been picked as it's thought the course in Spain won't suite his style of racing.
Peter Kennaugh and Ben Swift are in the long list of riders which will be reduced to a team of eight.
Team Sky team-mates Sir Bradley Wiggins and Chris Froome are also included.
Anna Christian is one of the nine Women's elite riders named for the eventual team of six.
And Nathan Draper completes the list of Manx cyclists following his selection for the Junior men's road race.
