Paddy Power scores with stunts

by isleofman.com 2nd September 2014
An Island-based online bookmaker says it’s seen a huge jump in the number of customers it serves over the past 12 months.
Paddy Power, registered in Ridgeway Street in Douglas, says it saw a 35 per cent rise in new online customers in the first six months of 2014, with 795,000 joining its website.
Its sports book sales over the same period were up 17 per cent, while net revenue grew by seven per cent.
The company says a variety of cheeky PR stunts and adverts during the World Cup account for much of its success – all without any extra marketing spend.
