Driver admits causing death of walker

A St John’s man has admitted causing death by dangerous driving.
Appearing at Douglas courthouse, 30-year-old Donovan Kitching pleaded guilty to causing the death of Gwen Valentine.
The 62-year-old from Winchester was walking on the Tholt-y-Will Road on April 26 when she was struck by a vehicle.
Kitching, who has also admitted possessing drugs, driving while disqualified and without insurance, will be sentenced on October 23.
