Top dancer offers inspiration to Island youngsters

A soloist from a top dance school in New York visits the Island this weekend (30 August).
Lloyd Mayor is also an Island of Culture youth ambassador and former Young Dancer of Mann.
He now works with the Martha Graham Dance Company where he's won rave reviews for his interpretation of contemporary dance works.
Lloyd will lead a workshop at Ballakermeen high school's drama studio and is also giving a solo performance followed by a talk tracing his life and work in dance.
The workshop is open to dancers aged 10 and over, is limited to 20 places and offered as a ticket-only event.
There is no charge for the solo performance and talk from 2-4pm but places must be booked in advance via the Villa Marina box office www.villagaeity.com
