by isleofman.com 30th August 2014

Fire crews have tackled a blaze at an industrial garage unit in Douglas overnight.
The alarm was raised at 1.15am (30 August) after fire broke out in the unit on Demesne Road.
Crews from Douglas and Laxey were at the scene for more than two and half hours, using hose reels and jets to bring the flames under control.
Fire fighters worked with the MEA to isolate damaged power cables and make the building safe, leaving the scene just before 4am.
At the height of the fire, nearby residents were woken by police officers.
The cause of the blaze is being investigated but is not thought to be suspicious.
