by isleofman.com 28th August 2014
It's thought the motorcyclist who died in an accident on the Creg Ny Baa back road this lunchtime (Thurs) was a visitor to the Island.
The incident happened around 1pm and involved just one bike.
The rider was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police closed the road for several hours while they dealt with the incident.
It opened again shortly before 4pm.
Officers say they are attempting to contact the family of the dead man and have issued an appeal for witnesses.
Anyone who may have been traveling on the Creg back road between 11.30am and 1pm and saw a lone biker travelling towards the pub is asked to contact police headquarters on 631 212.
