4G software update

by isleofman.com 28th August 2014

Following Manx Telecom’s launch of the first 4G network on the Island, they’re pleased to announce software updates for LG G3, G2, G2 mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 smartphones. Customers using these devices can now enjoy the benefits that 4G offers, as long as they’re on a smartphone tariff and have the latest software version, installed on their handset.

David Smith, Marketing Director at Manx Telecom said: “We’re delighted that 4G is now available to even more customers than before, allowing them to take advantage of the superfast 4G speeds. There are still a handful of Samsung software updates and the eagerly awaited Apple software update to follow, however we’re confident that these will be made available in the near future. The updates are an important part of the 4G roll out process and each update is dictated by the respective manufacturer, to ensure the 4G customer experience is the best it can possibly be.”

Customers can find a list of 4G compatible handsets on the company’s website www.manxtelecom.com/4ghandsets. The company said they’ll continue to update customers as and when each new software update is released, via the website, by text and through social networks.

If customers have any questions they are urged to call in store or call Manx Telecom on 624 624.
