Thousands attended the Royal Manx Show 2014 and Wi-Manx - newcomers to the event; certainly put their own unique stamp on the annual festivity this year.
Celebrating all that is Manx, the local provider ran an iPad Mini colouring competition which saw kids of all ages draw their favourite thing about the Isle of Man – this gained an amazing 320 entries and the winner will be announced on the Wi-Manx Facebook page.
With free loom banding for kids, hundreds of cups of free tea and coffee kindly donated by Douglas based CuppaCo.com and plenty of other activities for everyone to enjoy, Wi-Manx certainly made an impression on show goers.
Joe Hughes said of the two day event:
“We really wanted to make a point of having a big space at this wonderful occasion. Focusing on children’s activities and offering complimentary tea and coffee for the adults was a great way to engage with local visitors and families alike.
We were keen to make sure those that stopped by our marquee had a great experience courtesy of Wi-Manx and our team were on hand to offer guidance, answer questions and we even had a few on the spot sign ups. I’ve had lots of messages from customers and friends saying what a great effort we made and we’ll definitely be back next year.”
On the Saturday Wi-Manx shared some of their marquee space with ‘The Big Beat’ a fundraising initiative aimed to raise money for the Hospice. With donations made by visitors and kids having fun with the public drum kit in the play area, Wi-Manx kindly added to what was collected and donated a further ?1,000 to the cause.
Andy James from The Big Beat said of the donation “A big thanks to Wi-Manx for supporting The Big Beat for Hospice and their donation has taken our total to over ?7,500! We'd also like to thank all of their team for their help at the Royal Show.”
As well as over three hundred kids entering the iPad Mini colouring competition, over 430 adults signed up to win an iPad, a competition that you can still enter on their Facebook page.
