Heads should roll over NI debacle, says Liberal Vannin chairman

by isleofman.com 28th August 2014
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says she believes heads should roll if it's proved that the Council of Ministers didn't comply with financial regulations.
The Liberal Vannin Party chairman claims she's still seeking clarity over the issue of whether the government had the authority to take three quarters of a million pounds from reserves to pay for consultants reviewing the National Insurance Fund.
Mrs Beecroft says in her opionion there's no doubt regulations were flouted, and a report by Tynwald's public accounts committee due before Tynwald in November accused two goverment ministers of acting "fast and loose" with regulations.
Mrs Beecroft doesn't accept the argument that government had to act very quickly on the matter due to its urgency:Clip 1
