Mark is one of only 25 players in the history of cricket to have scored 100 first class centuries and when he retired in 2012 he had scored 114 centuries, a tremendous achievement. He was the first batsman ever to score a century against every county. Since his retirement Mark has turned to coaching; in November 2012 he was the batting coach for the England Lions in India and in January 2013 was appointed as batting coach for Middlesex on a two year contract. Also in 2013 he was awarded the MBE for his services to sport.
ICSA President Louise Young and Chief Executive Simon Osborne are to attend the dinner and they will present prizes and awards to students as part of the evening. Ron Berry has again kindly taken on the role of Master of Ceremonies.
The evening will also include a charity raffle in support of the Manx Breast Cancer Support Group and Crossroads Caring for Carers Isle of Man.
