Rider dies in MGP practice session

The Manx Motor Cycle Club has confirmed a second rider has died during practicing for the Manx Grand Prix.

Tim Moorhead from Whitstable in Kent was killed during Friday night's qualifying session in an incident near the Black Hut.

50 year old Mr Moorhead, who was married, made his Manx Grand Prix debut in 2012.

The Coroner of Inquests has been informed and an investigation into the circumstances of the accident is underway.

On Tuesday, 40 year old Stephen McIlvenna of County Antrim died during a crash on the Mountain in a practice session.
