The new Manx Premier League swings into action on Sunday with the first games in this T20 Competition.
Over the next two weeks, four specially selected sides will compete for the MPL Trophy.
They first play each other in a league format with the top two teams going through to the final at Mullen-e-Cloie on Sunday, August 31.
Four captains were nominated – Mark Williams, Ollie Webster, Phil Littlejohns and Ryan Windell.
They first each chose a wicket keeper.
Then, two selections at a time, the skippers picked the rest of their squad.
The general rules were that no more than four senior players could come from the same club and at least each side must have two members of the Island junior development squad.
Two grounds are to be used – Crosby and Mullen-e-Cloie.
The team names come from Manx folklore and Ali Ansari is the tournament director.
