by isleofman.com 7th August 2014

Organisers of Peel Carnival have thanked Island developer Heritage Homes for a ?500 donation which they say has ensured popular live entertainment continues to thrive at the event.
The company has made an annual contribution to the carnival for the last decade, to bring groups and street entertainers to the Island.
This years event (3 August) was opened by English folk band the Houghton Weavers and also featured street performers, musicians, a steel band, fire eaters and stilt acrobats.
Heritage Homes former planning director Joe McLoughlin said: "The carnival really does bring the town to life every year and this was no exception."
He added:" We have been active in Peel for over a decade and we feel it's vitally important to give something back to the local community."
Chairman of the organising committee Ian Baker said: "Without such sponsorship the carnival couldn't exist."
