Operation to free injured driver from wreckage

Details have emerged of a delicate operation to free a driver from the wreckage of his car after it span off the road in Baldrine.
The accident happened at around 5 o'clock yesterday (6 August) near the Liverpool Arms.
Two appliances including an enhanced rescue unit and six fire fighters were sent to the scene, after reports a man was trapped in his vehicle, which had rolled onto its side in a field.
Part of the road was closed while fire crews and paramedics carried out a joint rescue operation.
The casualty was freed within 20 minutes and transferred to a waiting ambulance.
His condition isn't yet known.
