Police appeal over missing flags

by isleofman.com 5th August 2014
Police are urging those who stole flags from a war memorial in the south of the Island to hand them back.
Four flags were taken from the Mona’s Queen memorial on Kallow Point in Port St Mary at the weekend.
The monument commemorates those who lost their lives aboard the former Steam Packet vessel when it was sunk taking British troops from Dunkirk in World War Two.
Constable Richard Cretney says a social media campaign to find those responsible has been among the most successful the police have ever seen.
He warns those behind the theft will be caught.
