Police say they are still keen to hear to anyone who was in Kirk Michael last night at the time of a fatal accident.
It happened at around 6pm on the main road, and despite efforts by paramedics and local residents, a female cyclist died at the scene.
Her name has not yet been officially released.
The incident also involved a blue Range Rover.
The driver and passenger were unhurt.
Officers would like to speak to anyone who was in the area at the time, as they may have information which could help with the ongoing investigation.
The road through Kirk Michael was closed for nearly six hours last night.
