How much do you earn?

by isleofman.com 1st August 2014
The Department of Economic Affairs is reminding businesses of their duties when it comes to the Island’s annual earnings survey.

It’s been contacting randomly-chosen firms asking them for details of salaries and to fill in special questionnaires.

The data collected is then used by the government to plan for the future and gauge the state of the Island’s economy.

This year, for the first time, businesses will be able to answer the questions online.

Carl Hawker, the department’s Acting Executive Director of Policy and Strategy, says companies are obliged to supply the information under the Statistics Act 1999.
