Christians excel at Time Trials

Isle of Man cyclist Mark Christian finished 11th and sister Anna 14th in the Commonwealth Games Time Trials.
Mark finished ahead of riders of the calibre of Luke Rowe, Michael Hutchinson and Zachary Bell in a time of 50 minutes 50.54 seconds.
Andrew Roche was 15th and Joe Kelly a non-starter - there were 56 finishers.
18 year-old Anna rode confidently in the mixed weather conditions against world class opposition and finished 3 minutes 23.19 seconds down on winner Linda Villumsen of New Zealand who just edged England's Emma Pooley.
Anna finshed well over three minutes ahead of experienced Island Games multi-medallist Ann Bowditch of Guernsey.
The other Manx rider Lara Wasley was 26th in the field of 31 competitors.
