Abused boy's mum speaks out

A mother whose toddler was sexually abused at a Douglas nursery has welcomed proposed changes to the criminal justice system.

Her three year-old son was sexually assaulted when he attended a kindergarten.

Twenty-four year-old Andrew James Maddrell was jailed for the attack last September.

The child’s mum, whose voice has been changed to protect her and her son’s identity, says children being cross-examined before a trial takes place is particularly good news:Clip 1
