Gandy into last 32 at English Amateur Championship

Rowany's Tom Gandy and Mount Murray player Darryl Callister have qualified for the matchplay stages of the English Amateur Golf Championship at Saunton.
Gandy had rounds of 69 and 75 for a +2 over par total of 144 and 32nd place.
Callister returned cards of 76 and 70 for +4 over par total of 146 for 45th position
Tom Harris of Castletown missed the cut by three shots with a two round total of 151 and 124th place.
This morning, Tom Gandy has progressed to the last 32 with a 2 & 1 victory over Paul Howard who is ranked 21 in the World Amateur rankings and 3rd in Great Britain.
Darryl Callister lost his match with William Whiteoak from Shipley by a 3 & 1 margin.
