Employed.im and The Needle’s first HR and Recruitment Seminar Success

On Tuesday 29th July, Employed.im and The Needle, hosted a free HR and Recruitment Breakfast Seminar for employers on the Isle of Man. The event, which was hosted at The Forum in Douglas aimed to provide information and insight into local resources to help support employers' recruitment activities.
 
Guest speakers included PDMS, Manx Industrial Relations Service, Search and Select Recruitment and The Needle, covering the following topics:
 
•        What can employed.im do for you? – Joanne Pontee, Marketing Manager, PDMS - an overview of the Island’s careers & skills portal from an employer’s perspective.
•        Writing effective job adverts and listings – Search and Select.
•        Supporting Isle of Man employers – Julie Bradley Chartered MCIPD, Industrial Relations Officer - an overview of the Manx Industrial Relations Service and how we can help you.
•        Video interviewing and recruitment – Christine Tautari, Director and Co-Founder, The Needle - how video can help find the right people for your business.

Employed.im is the Isle of Man’s free careers and jobs portal for students, job seekers, job changers, training providers and employers.
