Silver for Kennaugh

by isleofman.com 26th July 2014
Isle of Man cyclist Peter Kennaugh has won a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.
It came in the Points Race at the Sir Chris Hoy Velodrome.
Peter's success is the 11th Manx medal won in the history of the Commonwealth Games, only the second ever silver and the fifth medal claimed by a cyclist.
After receiving great support from Mark Christian and Joe Kelly, Peter was isolated in the later stages of the 120 lap contest.
He clearly wasn't happy with some of the tactics of the New Zealand team who had gold medal winner Thomas Scully and Aaron Gate claiming bronze.
Peter says it was emotional seeing the Manx flag raised during the medal ceremony:-Clip 1
