by isleofman.com 24th July 2014
After last night's spectacular Opening Ceremony in Glasgow, today is the first day of action at the Commonwealth Games.

Manx swimmers are in action at the Tollcross Swimming Centre.

First into the pool at 10.47am will be Alex Bregazzi in the 400m Freestyle and he will be followed by Laura Kinley and Niamh Robinson in the 50m Breaststroke, Charlotte Atkinson in the 100m Freestyle, Grant Halsall in the 100m Backstroke and Guy Davies in the 200m Breaststroke.

The big day has arrived for 25 year old Andrew Nash.

He competes in the Men's Triathlon at Strathclyde Country Park against the likes of the Brownlee brothers Alistair and Jonny.
