Equiom Solutions to kit out Manx Feva squad for World Championships

by isleofman.com 23rd July 2014

Equiom Solutions, part of the Equiom Group of companies, has announced its sponsorship of the Manx Feva sailing squad.

The Isle of Man based tax services provider will supply branded t-shirts and spinnakers for the squad to take to the RS Feva World Dinghy Championships in Carnac, Brittany.   The Manx Feva squad, which consists of five Manx Helms and three Manx Crews, carries a great deal of experience, with the majority of sailors coming from the Equiom Manx Youth Sailing Squad which has raced locally, nationally and internationally.

The Championships take place 26 July to 1 August and will attract 180 boats from 18 different nations around the world. Carnac is a well renowned sailing venue and conditions are expected to be challenging.

Squad member Ffinlo Wright commented: “We are extremely grateful to Equiom Solutions for their support.  The squad have been training for this event since November 2013 and we’re very much looking forward to competing. The conditions are likely to be tough but hopefully the Irish Sea has prepared us well. We’re all aiming to achieve positions in the Gold Fleet (top 50).”

Six of the Manx Feva squad took part in the RS Feva National Championships earlier this year and all achieved placements within the top 50.
