Some 50 guests from all sectors of the Island’s eGaming community joined Callcredit Information Group at Bar George on Thursday 3rd July for this year’s second instalment the celebrated eClub series.
Guests enjoyed a laid-back atmosphere, drinks, food and a specially branded Callcredit cake, as well as the chance to be entered into a prize draw as part of a business card lottery. Charles Horton and Tim Craine each took home a bottle of champagne, while Kim Broad of the Isle of Man Gambling Supervision Commission took home the first prize of a Kindle Fire. The evening proved an ideal opportunity to meet new additions to the Island’s eGaming cluster, with many commenting on the eClub being the perfect environment in which to get a feel for the character and success of the local industry.
The summer party marked the second Callcredit sponsored eClub event, with the last featuring a Gamblers and Fraudsters themed party to demonstrate the company’s fraud prevention offering. As experts in UK and international consumer information management and direct marketing, Callcredit representatives also took the opportunity to outline the company’s credit risk, digital, retail network planning and marketing data analysis services. Indeed, such has been the success of past events that Callcredit is due to host a third eClub event on Thursday 2nd October, with further details to be announced.
Commenting on the evening’s successes, Callcredit’s Joe Basso said: “Amidst its world leading licensing and regulatory regime and robust technological infrastructure, one aspect of the Isle of Man’s eGaming offering that often goes overlooked is the strength of its eGaming community. The eClub demonstrates just how strong those relationships are and Callcredit are proud to be a part of that. I would like to thank everyone who took part and would like to extend our invitation for the next eClub in October.”
The eClub is a social meeting place for anyone involved in eGaming on the Isle of Man or those with an interest in the sector. The initiative was started by KPMG and Continent 8 Technologies to bring the growing number of people working in the sector together in one place and start building lasting relationships. As well as providing a social venue, the eClub party also gives colleagues and friends the opportunity to chat informally about ideas and issues within eGaming on the Island.
