Finance programme delivers fillip for the Island

The Isle of Man has gained international recognition by supporting developing world nations.
So says the Chief Minister as a pioneering initiative enters its second week.
The Small Countries Financial Management Programme offers an intensive 'executive education' course for officials from finance ministries, central banks, and regulatory bodies in small developing countries.
Expert advice on financial management is offered by professionals and academics. For the sixth year, the Isle of Man has hosted the first part of the course and delegates now transfer to Oxford for the second.
Allan Bell says offering small jurisdiction know-how to participants from as far afield as the Caribbean, Indian Ocean and Africa is paying dividends:
